That's That Super Bass

top: Kamiseta c/o Trina Cruz | tights: (I'm wearing 3 actually) all from Forever 21 | scarf and bow: Greenhills Bazaar | mid calf boots: Heel and Sole
Thats That Super Bass

I've been singing Nicki Minaj's single featuring Ester Dean for almost 2 weeks now, and I still have it on the loop.

Since its been raining cats and dogs for the past 2 days, I've opted to wear my booties + extra layering (tights on tights, scarves and knitted blouses) to keep my butt warm. I need to wear something warmer because our office is like one giant freezer. Hurhurhur. :)

On the other news: Just this Monday (the 25th) another typhoon hits the Philippines - though we get to experience it almost every year, we still fear to the extent esp. when strong winds and heavy rains are concerned. We are indeed one of the toughest yet, calamities like these frightens every Filipinos in the country. So, be extra safe fellow Pinoys. :-/

And also for those who lives in the Metro, please do share all the blessings that you have. It doesn't matter if it's big or small.

God's Message

Each time we get hurt, we often ask why we need to weep and why we need to feel awful. Yet, surviving such heart breaks and loneliness is something we need to get by to be able to move on. And at times, getting up from all of these may not be as smooth as expected, somehow, we need a kind of empowerment that sometimes, all we need is to pray, pray so hard that things will always going to be great. Here's my empowerment:

God's Message To Women

When I created the heavens and the earth, I spoke them into being. When I created man, I formed him and breathed life into his nostrils. But you, woman, I fashioned after I breathed the breath of life into man because your nostrils are too delicate. I allowed a deep sleep to come over him so I could patiently and perfectly fashion you.

Man was put to sleep so that he could not interfere with the creativity. From one bone I fashioned you. I chose the bone that protects man's life. I chose the rib, which protects his heart and lungs and supports him, as you are meant to do. Around this one bone I shaped you. I modeled you. I created you perfectly and beautifully.

Your characteristics are as the rib, strong yet delicate and fragile. You provide protection for the most delicate organ in man, his heart. His heart is the center of his being; his lungs hold the breath of life.

The rib cage will allow itself to be broken before it will allow damage to the heart. Support man as the rib cage supports the body. You were not taken from his feet, to be under him, nor were you taken from his head, to be above him. You were taken from his side, to stand beside him and be held close to his side.

You are my perfect angel. You are my beautiful little girl. You have grown to be a splendid woman of excellence, and my eyes fill when I see the virtues in your heart. Your eyes - don't change them. Your lips how lovely when they part in prayer. Your nose, so perfect in form, your hands so gentle to touch. I've caressed your face in your deepest sleep; I've held your heart close to mine. Of all that lives and breathes, you are the most like me. Adam walked with me in the cool of the day and yet he was lonely. He could not see me or touch me. He could only feel me. So everything I wanted Adam to share and experience with me, I fashioned in you: my holiness, my strength, my purity, my love, my protection and support.
You are special because you are the extension of me. Man represents my image - woman, my emotions. Together, you represent the totality of God.

So man - treat woman well. Love her, respect her, for she is fragile. In hurting her, you hurt me. What you do to her, you do to me. In crushing her, you only damage your own heart, the heart of your Father, and the heart of her Father.

Woman, support man. In humility, show him the power of emotion I have given you. In gentle quietness show your strength. In love, show him that you are the rib that protects his inner self.

Sophie's Mom

I'm super craving for sweets and more sweets for such a loooooong time (my beau's somewhere up north and will be home in a month or so) and yeah, I guess that's why my sweet tooth ain't that sweet enough lately. Hurhur. Nonetheless, there's this pastry shop in San Antonio Village called Sophie's Mom that everyone's craving about (and yes, I tried MOCHI ICE CREAM in Brazo flavor before) so I decided to give them a visit and surely, will be back for more! Too bad, I wasn't able to bring my DSLR with me hence I was able to snap my purchases at home.

I'm craving for more Dulce de Leche cupcake and my grand mom's fave: Red Velvet!

See this? It's filled with Nutella and it's Mochi. Enough said! I want more of these! :P

The place is soooo gorgeous and super girly and I promised myself that I'll be back for more cupcakes and cookies and to snap pictures and of course, hopefully to meet Sophie and her mom. :)

You can visit Sophie's Mom on Facebook and did I mentioned they deliver too?! Till next! :)

Mimi and Didi with Daisy and Donald :)
Just a random post from our recent trip in Hong Kong and of course, who wouldn't miss the "Happiest Place on Earth"?? They say that Hong Kong Disney is the smallest Disneyland, yet, 1 day isn't enough to roam around the park. I wonder how big the other Disneylands? (I'm dying to get to Japan, Paris and USA!)

Tassels and Buses

tassels & buses

Top and skirt: Forever 21 | Glasses: Ray Ban | Tassel earrings: Quintessential Shop

The title suddenly came out of nowhere and I just opted to have buses rhymed with tassels since I'm wearing Quintessential Shop's tassel earrings again (and I won't get tired of it!) I love how it really stands out. Elaine also gave me another pair in black and white and I'm excited enough to wear it on my next post! So for the outfit, I wore this on a day of errands and due to the bipolar-ish weather here in Manila, I just added a knitted blazer and changed my swatch to esprit wrap around. Till next, pretty people! :)

Etude House Secret Beam Highlighter (Bronze, White and Gold) 7. Estee Lauder Angled Blush Brush 8. Etude House Eye Lash Curler 9. Etude House Waterproof Mascara (Black) 10. Etude House Pen Liner (Black) 11. Mac in Coral Polyp 12. Mac Lip Glass in Silly Girl 13. Etude House Code B Dear Darling in Super Red 14. Etude House Eye Liner 15. Leopard Forever 21 Hair Band (for a quick pick me upper hair fix!) + "Princess" designed compact mirror I bought in a SaSa store along Tsim Sha Tsui in Hong Kong <3

I know, I've been very biased with Etude House. It just so happened that most of their products are well suited for my skin and I didn't get any breakouts at all and my skin blends well with almost everything (from BB creams to the moisturizers!) Plus the fact that it's simply affordable. Who doesn't want that?

And a fair reminder: Never sleep with any make up at all. You have to have you skin well taken care of. Till next! :)

Dead Disco, Dead Funk

Dead Disco, Dead Funk

LBD: Forever 21 | Wedges: Gian Marco Lorenzi Inspired by Heel and Sole

Single Feather Earrings by Quintessential Shop

the song is by Metric and yes, it’s on the loop for days now since I’m always inspired by songs (most of the time) each time I get lost of what I’m going to wear on a particular party. They kept on saying “Work hard, Party harder” and I guess I just followed that quote. We recently celebrated our 1 year (can't believe it's been a year already) at work and being a part of the very first batch not only gives a lot of good opportunities but a different kind of friendships. It's been one heck of a year and looking forward for more "FUN"tastic moments. And oh, here's what I wore on the said party that was held at Centerstage along Jupiter in Makati City. :)

P.S.

For those who can't get enough of feather and tassel earrings, kindly check my friend Elaine Verri's online shop -> Quintessential Shop. She made me that gorgeous single feather earrings.

Please and Thank you! :)
